Club History

Audace Cerignola was founded on June 12, 1912, as Unione Sportiva Cerignola. The club initially competed in regional leagues before being promoted to Serie C in 1946. The club spent the next few decades yo-yoing between Serie C and Serie D before finally establishing itself in Serie C in the 1970s.

Audace Cerignola achieved its greatest success in the 1990s, when it won the Serie C2 championship in 1994 and was promoted to Serie C1. The club spent the next four seasons in Serie C1 before being relegated back to Serie C2 in 1998.
